Description

Mt. Gangapurna Expedition (7455m/24,457ft) is situated in the Annapurna Himalayan range at the Coordinates of 28°36'18''N Latitude and 83°57'00''E Longitude. The Gangapurna expedition became popular when Gunther Hauser (German expedition team) summitted the peak in 1965via the East Ridge. Gangapurna peak is located between Annapurna III and Tilocho Peak. It is Northeast of Mt. Annapurna at the opposite end of Grand Barrier to Tilicho Peak on the shoulder extending about 10-12km from Annapurna directly east of ROC Noir. Mt. Gangapurna is one of the best mountains to climb in Nepal and is excellent preparation for future 8000m expeditions.

Gangapurna rises high above the Manang Valley with breathtaking views across to AnnapurnaII, III and IV, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu. The climb is combined with the classic trek around the Annapurna massif circuit trekking, ascending the Marsyangdi Valley. The climb is technically straightforward but climbers should be very fit and should be familiar using crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes. Most of the climbing involved will be walking roped together this including the glacial crossings. The Gangapurna glacier is also by the Nepal Mountaineering Associationfor their Advanced and basic training courses. Mount Mania always provide you with experienced and knowledgeable climbing Sherpa guides.

During the Gangapurna Expedition Mount Mania will always focus on our clients success. We  ensuring safety, comfort and an enjoyable experience. Our strategy has been designed by an exercise physiologist and experienced climbing Sherpa guides who have high altitude training. We try our best to be as efficient as possible with our itineraries, ensuring that there is not a lot of wasted time. We consider the fact that our clients might have only a short time off of work, rest assured that your time and money will be well spent with Satori Adventures. The Gangapurna is located in a remote area between the Tilicho and Annapurna ranges. This 7000m peak is technically moderate and a good preparation for upcoming expeditions of 8000m like Manaslu, Cho-Oyu or Shishapgnama. The walk-in begins along Beshishahar and the trek starts from Khudi Village, from there you will reach Bhulbhule in 30 minutes in the Valley of the Marsyangdi River. After Bhulbule we changed the jeep and drive to Koto from where our expedition guide arrange mules and trek up to Gangapurna base camp with food and equipment.
