Description

Sikles trek is an adventurous and exciting journey. You’ll be passing through the lush forest of rhododendrons, beautiful mountain range and landscapes. Sikles trek is one of the interesting trekking destinations in the Annapurna region. If you want to enjoy the peaceful experience of nature within your trek, then this trek is for you. 

Sikles is a small village that lies within the Kaski district. It is the earliest and biggest ‘Gurung’ settlement. Sikles village is a well-preserved village located on a small hill at the height of 3,000 meters.

We’ll be exploring different places such as Huwu (Hugu) village and Khapuche Lake. After crossing the elevation of 2,000 meters, you’ll be seeing Annapurna and Lamjung Himal up close. You’ll come to know about the culture, lifestyle, tradition and handicraft production of this area.

Sikles trek has gained lots of popularity these days. On the first day you arrive here at Kathmandu and you’ll be driving towards Pokhara. On the next day of the arrival, you’ll be driving to Sikles village from Pokhara. Then you’ll start your trek from Sikles to Huwu village. The trek will be of 3 days which passes through terraced fields, waterfalls, rhododendron forest, high alpine and the remote village beneath the giants Annapurna II (7937 m) and IV (7525 m).

After trekking back to Sikles, you will return towards Kathmandu on the same route from where you came. There will be a small farewell program for you and then you’ll go your own ways. Make sure you inform us if you want additional days on your journey before you book this trip. 
 

7 Days Sikles Trek Itinerary

You will be heading towards Pokhara (7 hours drive) by Tourist Bus. After you reach Pokhara, we will take you to the hotel. It will be a long day so you’ll spend the rest of your time in Pokhara.

On this second day, you’ll leave for Sikles early in the morning from Pokhara after your breakfast. Sikles is a small and well-preserved village located on a small hill at a height of 1,981 meters.

The route towards Sikles is off-road. As you move forward you will see beautiful mountain ranges and full of natural beauty. After you reach Sikles, the traditional and cultural beauty of the village will amaze you. It is a 4 hours drive and 51 km distance from Pokhara to Sikles. Overnight stay in one of the guesthouses in Sikles.

On the third day you’ll be trekking from Sikles to Huwu (Hugu). This will be the first trek of your trekking journey. After your breakfast, you’ll be ascending uphill towards Huwu through the stone stairs and stone path.

After you cross the Sikles village, you’ll be seeing some of the beautiful mountains Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal up close. Then you’ll be walking on a narrow path at the edge of the hills which is very thrilling and adventurous. Then you’ll descend, following the same trails and witness the Edi Jharna (64 m). It is a beautiful waterfall. After some pictures and a short rest, you’ll continue the trek.

You’ll ascend uphill but the path is a little harder than the previous. You’ll be climbing some steep and big stone path which passest through small rivers and bridges. You’ll be continuing on the same path for some time and you’ll finally reach Huwu village. You’ll be trekking for 6-7 hours. Overnight camp in Huwu.

Today, you’ll trek from Huwa to Kahphuche and then trek back to Huwu. Kahphuche Lake is the lowest glacial lake in Nepal. This lake lies here at a height of 2,450meters above sea level. The path is easy and short compared to other trails in your journey. You’ll enjoy the beautiful mountain range and the peaceful wildlife of the trail.

After trekking for 2 hours, you’ll reach Kahphuche Lake. The beautiful mountains will surround you with the crystal clear blue lake upfront. The beautiful scenery provided to you by Kahphuche Lake will amaze you. After spending some time and taking some pictures you’ll return back to Huwa village. You’ll be trekking for a total of 4 hours and overnight camp in Huwu.

On this day you’ll be returning back to Sikles from Huwa. After your breakfast, you’ll be walking through the same trail from where you came. The return trip will be faster than your arrival. You’ll be trekking for 6 hours and overnight guesthouse stay at Sikles.

After breakfast, today we will be going back to Pokhara from Sikles in a private jeep, it is the same 4 hours drive. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

On this final day, we’ll be going back to Kathmandu. You can either drive (7 hours) or take a flight (30 minutes) back to Kathmandu. There’ll be a small farewell program for you after you reach Kathmandu. If you want to spend an extra day in Kathmandu or Pokhara, make sure you inform us about it before you book the trip.
