Useful Information

Best Time for Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek

Like most of the other treks in Nepal, Autumn and Spring are the most popular time of the year for trekking in Langtang. Autumn is also called the best time because of its best weather and temperature conditions. In Autumn, the sky is crystal clear. Also, the air quality remains at its best, providing the best visibility.

Langtang Gosaikunda trail in Spring is one of the best things to do in Nepal. Most of the parts of this trek pass through lush jungles of Rhododendron trees. In Spring, you will see picturesque hills. At places, the trail gets covered with the petals of Rhododendrons.

Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu trek in monsoon is quite a bad idea. Since most of the trail is forested area, trekkers say that leeches fall from leaves of the trees. You are more prone to leech bites. Along with it, the trails will become so slippery and steep to trek.

Winter is a beautiful time when the lakes in Gosaikunda basin turn into frozen lakes. Also, at the Laurebina pass, it will snow. The trek route at the high ridges remains covered in snow. So, if you are willing to go in winter, you’ll need lots of preparations. It is going to be so severe.

    Great adventure Nepal

We too have lost our hearts to Nepal with thanks to our great guide and friend Binod. We have been allowed to walk with him for several trekkings in 2014 and 2016: Poonhill, ABC-trek, Kathmandu Valley, Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu. Binod has a great sense of responsibility and is very caring. He tells in good English everything about the culture and nature of beautiful Nepal. Greetings from Hans and Tina.
